This Privacy Policy describes how CodingValue ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the QR Code Scanner Android application.

QR Code Scanner is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect personal information for advertising or analytics. Most data stays on your device.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data Stored on Your Device

• Scan and Create History: Content you scan or create (text, URLs, etc.), timestamps, and your optional notes are stored locally on your device.
• Favorites: QR codes you mark as favorites are stored on your device.
• "My QR" Profile: If you create a profile for generating personal QR codes (name, organization, address, phone, email), this is stored only on your device.
• App Settings: Your preferences (theme, sounds, copy to clipboard, etc.) are stored on your device.

2.2 Camera and Gallery

• Camera: Used only for live QR scanning. All processing happens on your device. No images or video are sent to our servers or stored by us.
• Gallery: When you choose an image to decode a QR code, the image is processed on your device only. We do not upload or store gallery images.

2.3 Clipboard

If you enable "Copy to clipboard" in settings, scanned content may be copied to your clipboard when you scan. We do not access or transmit clipboard data.

2.4 Third-Party Services

We use a third-party service to decode QR codes. This service processes images on your device and does not send your images or scan results elsewhere. The service provider may collect limited diagnostic data (such as device type and app version) for analytics. This data is not shared with other parties.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising.
• We do not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

4. Permissions

• Camera: Required for live QR code scanning.
• Vibrate: Used for haptic feedback when a QR code is scanned (optional, based on your settings).

We do not request internet, location, or storage permissions for general use.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties. When you use features like opening URLs or sharing QR codes, those actions are handled by your device's default apps (browser, share sheet). We do not control or receive data from those apps.

6. Data Security

Your scan history and settings are stored locally on your device. We recommend keeping your device locked and using a secure lock screen to protect your data.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your scan history and favorites at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.

8. Children's Privacy

QR Code Scanner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
